Bought a new Dyson DC23 Animal.
Broke it in 45 minutes. The brush head won't spin, and yes I took off the brushes and cleaned them. Something inside it is binding it up. FUCKING AWESOME $450.00 SPENT! |

Quoted: Quoted: I'm guessing it's under warranty? Yes. But if this piece of shit breaks in 45 minutes, I'm not sure I even want to bother with it. I'm 90% tempted to take this fucker back to Sears right now. I don't own one (I think they're over priced for what they are), but most people say nice things about them. Every manufacturer is entitled to an occasional lemon. I'd just get a new one, and not worry about it. |

As far as vacuums go, dysons consistently score some of the lowest reliability ratings. Roughly 1 in 4 vacuums fail within the first 5 years. Likewise, Oreck and Electrolux have the highest reliability ratings.
You read that correctly...nearly 1 IN 4 Dysons fail within the first 5 years. But they do work great...when they work. |
