I send my wife and child to Canada and my friends and I stand and fight for the future of my country and family.
But I can say that because I'm not a F---ing pussy who expects others to fight and die on my behalf while I live off their forced charity and I put my name on the dotted line to back up my convictions. 
I have sympathy for the women, disabled, and children, but every one of those men needs to pick up arms and fight for themselves. Even if every single one of those able bodied men vetted as being 100% not a terrorist we should entry entry because of their cowardice. |
| You should say that he is an idiot first off. Then you should explain why it's important to have emergency food and supplies including guns and ammo. If you have skills in growing food and hunting you will not starve, fishing is also good for this. If you have a 3 month supply of food your family is not starving. If it's as crazy as he makes the situation sound he would probably be killed on his way to Canada anyways. The only reason these people are fleeing Syria is because they were promised FREE SHIT when they got to their destination. 10,000 Syrians will mean 1300 who admit to liking ISIS - the same group that's made them into "refugees", not even counting the ones who are smart enough to lie on the poll. If I live in Brooklyn and bombs are blowing up NYC and 1 out of 8 of my neighbors who run from the violence are still supportive of the group that's caused it... I think Canada would be wise to not let anyone in. It is telling that your liberal cousin ignores where those bombs are coming from in his fictional scenario, because the root causes of the conflict are entrenched within the community embroiled in it. Seems like a "duh", but it's a pretty serious omission (and a common lefty one to make). If his fictional scenario is a Christian-dominated conflict of Catholics vs Protestants, then Canada would be wise not to admit them, but would be relatively safe admitting Buddhists, Shintos, Animists and Zoroastrians. |

The cheapest opinion is say "no thank you" to refugees 3.Tell him the screening process is crap and Syrian officals have no way to verify someones identity like Western nations. Many people pay a government official for any identity docs from a simple barter. |

I was in an argument about the refugees with a "navy veteran and cop" from Wisconsin. I told him that they should offer to house some at his home. He said he would love to. Then, after I posted the link to an article about Syrian refugees and the high incidents of raping women, he gave me this...
Are you not made of flesh? That is our weakness. People are blind to some sin, but not all. It is the natural human disposition. Every person I have arrested can justify (to themselves) why they did what they did, no matter how bad. Admittedly, I too justify my sins. The terrorists in Paris could probably justify (to themselves) what they did. We may see some of our sin, but just by being human, there is sin we do every day that we don't see, we don't recognize as sin. There is a fear-driven agenda that says the refugees are terrorists. We supposedly live in the "land of the brave"... As a veteran and a police officer, I'm not seeing much bravery. I see fear and a reaction to fear. I don't know anything about you, Michael... You don't know anything about me either. So let me tell you something about me. I'm not a fool. I understand there is a risk in bringing in refugees, but I also know it is the right thing to do. We have a gracious Father and He is watching over us. Maybe He will bring our enemy into this country and a scene will play out from Habakkuk... even so, that would not change our responsibility to the many who are in need. Or, perhaps, this is actually an opportunity of Good. The rewards of which are unseen by most of us. The glory, seemingly lost, or distributed to an unworthy worldly leader of sorts. I do grow frustrated with the inaction of so many: the internet tough-guys, and the crooked politicians. But I also understand that they too are made of flesh. I have stated my idiotic opinion, and I have seen your's displayed as well... Both of us idiots, surrounded by others who are also idiotic. Each person full of hubris and self worth. Yet, some of us cling to hope. Some of us will DO what we know. We will take action of the "GO" command. Some of us look to the future and decide to act now. Doing that which we have been charged to do. God help us. |
