I bet if you do the research you will be able to draw a direct line from current Democratic personalities to Democratic personalities that opposed the Civil Rights Act.  Seriously

research lynchings and look  for white victims.  You will probably find alot of them were Republicans in the South.  Check the actual voting record on the CRA for and against in

relation to political parties.  Learn about Bull Connor.  As far as stuff like the EPA.  For all the good they do, they are still a vehicle by which watermelons are trying to advance a

radical socialist/communist agenda so that one breaks even.  Al Gores dad anyone.

Civil Rights Act:

The original House version:[13]

   Democratic Party: 152-96   (61%-39%)
   Republican Party: 138-34   (80%-20%)

The Senate version:[13]

   Democratic Party: 46-21   (69%–31%)
   Republican Party: 27-6   (82%–18%)

Which means while 80.5% of Republicans voted in favor, only 63% of Democrats did.

ETA: And unless I'm mistaken, Social Security doesn't lift people out of poverty It and Medicare are also broke as a joke.

ETA2: Also, the CRA did most of the things in that paragraph.  They just have to list them twice to make their point sound impressive.

[The CRA] outlawed major forms of discrimination against blacks and women, including racial segregation. It ended unequal application of voter registration requirements and racial segregation in schools, at the workplace and by facilities that served the general public ("public accommodations").

Women's suffrage, from Wikipedia:

The key vote came on June 4 1919, when the Senate approved the amendment by 56 to 25 after four hours of debate, during which Democratic Senators opposed to the amendment filibustered to prevent a roll call until their absent Senators could be protected by pairs. The Ayes included 36 (82%) Republicans and 20 (54%) Democrats. The Nays comprised 8 (18%) Republicans and 17 (46%) Democrats. It was ratified by sufficient states in 1920, the Nineteenth Amendment, which prohibited state or federal gender-based restrictions on voting.

The Democrat party had slavery as a plank in their party platform for over 149 years.
After losing the Civil War the KKK became the enforcement arm of the Democratic party, beating and lynching blacks and Republicans.
When sheriff Billy Bob came by to confiscate unregistered firearms from a southern black house, it meant that he would be back that night, wearing a sheet and with torches and a rope.

On discrimination in social security:

Most women and minorities were excluded from the benefits of unemployment insurance and old age pensions. Employment definitions reflected typical white male categories and patterns.[13] Job categories that were not covered by the act included workers in agricultural labor, domestic service, government employees, and many teachers, nurses, hospital employees, librarians, and social workers.[14] The act also denied coverage to individuals who worked intermittently.[15] These jobs were dominated by women and minorities. For example, women made up 90 percent of domestic labor in 1940 and two-thirds of all employed black women were in domestic service.[16] Exclusions exempted nearly half of the working population.[15] Nearly two-thirds of all African Americans in the labor force, 70 to 80 percent in some areas in the South, and just over half of all women employed were not covered by Social Security.[17][18] At the time, the NAACP protested the Social Security Act, describing it as “a sieve with holes just big enough for the majority of Negroes to fall through.”[18]

Some have suggested that this discrimination resulted from the powerful position of Southern Democrats on two of the committees pivotal for the Act’s creation, the Senate Finance Committee and the House Ways and Means Committee.[citation needed] Southern congressmen supported Social Security as a means to bring needed relief to areas in the South that were especially hurt by the Great Depression but wished to avoid legislation which might interfere with the racial status quo in the South. The solution to this dilemma was to pass a bill that both included exclusions and granted authority to the states rather than the national government (such as the states' power in Aid to Dependent Children). Others have argued that exclusions of job categories such as agriculture were frequently left out of new social security systems worldwide because of the administrative difficulties in covering these workers.[18]
