| I have never seen it, figure I'd watch it. Is it any good? |

I was "busted" by my sister in law, for psychotically laughing all through it.
C'mon, all those stereotypes? The movie was nothing but. How could anyone keep a straight face when the fiendish nazi kept repeating "give it to me, give it to me..." to Michael Douglas. |

At first it's funny because he's doing what most people would like to do. In the end you realize its not funny at all. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile +1 Is sucked, its not a "revenge" movie, its a homicidal maniac movie. Parts of the story are based on the John List murders. Dreadful movie. |

I had Falling Down urges when I ordered breakfast at What a Burger at 11:03 and she said they stopped making breakfast at 11:00. I told her it was 10:59 on my watch and she said it was 11:03. So I said, "181 seconds ago you had breakfast tacos for sale, the guy in front of me ordered them. Are you being serious?" Yes she said and then asked me to order or leave. What a bitch. So I told her I was going to come in at 10:59 every morning and order tacos, and then ordered a chicken sandwich. I pulled up to the window and when I saw my meal and she told me how much I owed, I drove off. Never going back again...without a bag full of guns. |

Yeah, that's what I got out of it too. I saw the previews and thought it was going to be a "yeah, that's what I would do!" movie––instead it was just a psychotic idiot on his way out. Not cool, and not a good movie. Oh, I nearly walked out when he was in the gun shop. Talk about Hollywood <wrong> stereotypes all on display. |

Of course they had to portray him as a racist to boot. |

The nazis in the movie are clearly an attempt to keep the liberal audience sympathizing with the main character... the movie sort of kicks off with things most people sympathize with, but in order for the ending to be appropriately sad, they have to keep you sympathetic through some escalating things... so the movie makes a clear attempt to separate the character from certain extreme groups. However, they go a bit overboard and make a sort of straw man for gun shops. There's a lot of anti-gun attitude throughout the movie also.
I think I watched it twice when it was on cable... wouldn't buy it, and would probably watch reruns on discovery or military channel before I would watch it again. Just my opinion. |
| I don't like how he turned out to be a schmuck....they dropped in that he psychologically bullied his mom and that his wife left him for doing the same to her. If they had just kept him as an everyday guy with a good family it would have been better....I really liked the movie but it made it seem like all conservatives are just a breakfast service away from getting a rifle and climbing a clock tower. |

It wasn't really a gun shop though, it was a surplus store. D-fens got the guns from the gang guys and the bazooka thing was just part of Nick's personal stash.
