Yup, Bugthesda and Microsoft are at it again, this time they’ll be breaking FO4 with another “anniversary “ edition that will do for FO4 what they did for TES and the mods. Back your game up, and wait for the inevitable crashes once it is no longer supported by F4SE Papyrus, and your mods no longer work. All so they can pull another attempted money grab for their pet Creation Club paid mods. Nexus article |

The fun part is that we just had the "next gen" update not too long ago that broke all the mods and that one was free Now for this one, you get to pay 40 bucks to 'upgrade' the same game youve already been playing for a decade with more broken mods and some creation club crap that nobody ever asked for |

The people that have kept those games relevant are the ones Bugthesda/Microsoft are trying to screw. Great job idiots, without them both games would fade into obscurity except to us old time gamers. |

bethesda really only has 2 worthwhile properties right now. gotta wonder how long microsoft is going to let bethesda sit on fallout before they start politely encouraging them to do something with it question is, who do they have that they could hand it off to? obsidian has already said theyre not super interested in doing another spinoff |

Just a guess, but I imagine that they didn’t fix the most annoying bug in the game, which is the fact that level loading is tied to your frame rate. So, if you have a low or capped frame rate, then loading can take as much as 30 seconds, even with an nVME hard drive. Running with a high uncapped frame rate fixes the issue, but makes the lock picking minigame unplayable. I know someone realeased a mod for that, but it is a .dll for that but I am not going to run an unsigned DLL from someone’s personal website. |

And too high a frame rate unsyncs the voices to lips, had it at 125 but walking looked more like running, and enemies were like fighting the Flash. Ended up using chill at first to limit the speed. I now have mine capped at 85 fps which is good for cell changes and lock picking among other things. |

I rolled back my GOG version to 1.10.163 and it runs great even with 110+ mods. It’s pretty sad as I’ve been keeping up with all the problems the Steam version has had with the updates and anniversary edition on PCs and XBox, I hear it’s even worse on the PlayStation. |
