Damn that disarm shit is dumb. Any actual shooter would be using two hands near his chest. An actual shooter would resist the disarm. This is not an appropriate technique to train on. The point of that particular disarm is that it's nearly impossible to resist, even when you KNOW it's about to happen. When I worked for the FAMS (as a civilian) I watched a bunch of "real shooters" (many of those guys spent hours a week at the range and in FoF\Simunitions training) get disarmed just like the video depicted right after being told "Ok, I'm going to take the pistol from you in a second, try to stop me." The fact is, action beats reaction. Every time. |
