So those of you in ban states. If the courts dont help you how exactly do you fight? Other than violence what exactly is the plan? The way I see things there are states that are moving left and states that are moving right such as mine. The end game is a state vs fed battle. Whether it be an economic battle or a battle of arms is unknown but at the current pace the federal government is going to reach a point of burden on conservative states where it is no longer worth it to play along for us. The only path of fighting I think is worth while is to move to a conservative state and help increase the majority. Help make the state government more red so our economies stay strong and we can actually make gains on freedom. That way when the state vs fed fight breaks out we have better odds and will have stronger economies and people to survive it. Unless of course your plan is to hide your guns and eventually be an operative behind enemy lines you should start making plans to move when you can. Your vote is worthless in a liberal state. at best you can slow down the increase of communism in your state. In a red state your vote might count for something . Not to mention if you leave you are not only decreasing a blue states revenue but its electoral count. So what's it going to be? If the courts don't help you how will you "fight" in a communist state? |

I am in 100% agreement with you. The people in CT put up a strong fight. We testified, we contacted our representatives and made our feelings known. We had multiple rallies. Thousands attended, the media downplayed it as hundreds. We crushed every poll presented in every newspaper in CT, yet it was always reported that most people want more gun control. The fix was in from the beginning, because of the liberal political climate in the state. So in my opinion, and I know others differ on this, the time has come to move to states like Arizona, deprive Connecticut, Maryland, New York of tax dollars and let those ships sink under the weight of their shitty democrat controlled legislatures. |

Quoted: Fight easy for you to say in a state that isn't controlled by democrats. How do you fight your government other than actually fighting them? If you are not the majority and the courts ignore you then your options are move or start voting from the rooftops. No other option will work when you are outnumbered and I don't think we have enough people ready to vote from the rooftops yet. |

If I had a stake in the wrong-headed states... at this point I wouldn't comply, wait for the outcome of contests of the law which are surely soon to come.
It truly hurts my heart as an American though to even see this shit perpetrated upon the rights of my countrymen. I could make a wall of text about it, but others have, and will. |

Quoted: for sure I would wait for the court cases and results of next election if I was in a close contest state . Colorado might be able to turn the tide a little bit but New York? California? Connecticut? No fucking way those states are going to turn around. Only option is to get your ass over to the right side of the line IMO. Reward a good state with your vote and money. If I had a stake in the wrong-headed states... at this point I wouldn't comply, wait for the outcome of contests of the law which are surely soon to come. Quoted: Not going anywhere, I was born here and will die here Not complying with unconstitutional laws Not going to jail either Will you hide your guns or go out and shoot them? You realize the long game is to make you hide them or make it so burdensome to shoot what you even have that you are unable to get your children into the gun culture right? THen all your kids or your grandkids will turn in your scary guns when you die. Hiding your guns is not fighting. By no means do I suggest you comply with any of their bullshit. I wouldn't. But what is the objective? Your not making any gains for liberty by hiding your guns and going about your day. |

I agree that the laws being passed in CT., NY. CO., are illegal on their face. But say you have your firearms, legally purchased. I hate to even think of this, but I suppose just going to the range might get you turned in to some agency? Goddamnit, I live in Texas. Fuck all that commie big brother SHIT!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I've been impressed with the turnouts and vocal opposition the good guys in NY, CT, and MD have made. I know in the end it didnt matter as the bills still went through, but it was some nice solidarity you guys showed. Here in PA we have our big annual rally in our capitol on 4/23. I'd love to see the turnout and enthusiasm you guys showed, but I am hesitant to say it will happen. We're still divided here. I read it on a local forum where some of us were being chastised by other members for wanting to open carry rifles outside during the upcoming event. Too bad those folks are clueless to what's happening around them in neighboring states. The gloves must come off now before we become the next NY, CT, or MD.

I hope there are more like you in your state. If there are enough people who are not going to hide their guns you might at least stand a chance of basically nullifying the law. If there are enough of you and the state decides to force compliance hold tight. Help will be on the way. |

Quoted: As always, very simplistic is the free vs. occupied states ideology. The idea that entire states would remain intact enough to support .gov one way or another in an ultimatum situation is just silly. This is not a reality based premise. what do you mean? Are you saying a state or group of states would never be willing to say no or leave the union if the burden became high enough? I disagree completely. If a state can manage to remain somewhat free eventually federal government will become a big enough burden for actions to be taken. |

I'm saying that even in the bluest states there will be no capitulation by the people as a whole. For example, if .gov were to demand compliance from CA in the effort to enforce true "hope and change" this place would disintegrate. |

I am just playing by the rules, exercising my god given right to self defense. If all of the kings men show up, I will defend myself to the best of my ability. All of the kings men will not show up. They will expect you to hand it in like a good law abiding citizen. If you don't hand it in, Mr policeman will pay you a visit. Not a mob. If you defend yourself from Mr policeman, you will be labeled as a copkiller. You never fought tyranny, you never took valor, you never made a statement. In these cases, "the shot hard round the world" will never be heard. I say bring out the tar and feathers. You will be strong as many, you will be weak as one. |

This is not a reality based premise. Yeah, I remember reading how all of the 13 colonies totally disintegrated during the American Revolution and we got 13 new states with completely redrawn borders after the Tories & Whigs split everything up. Then in the war of 1812, where the Brits sacked DC and the young nation's existence was at risk, all the states collapsed again and got all mixed up. Like Maine, splitting off from Massachusetts. And during the Civil War, all those new states got redrawn as Yanks & Rebs split their states apart. Let's see, there was West Virginia. And... hrm. Maybe just WV. In the whole history of the country, through all of our crises, we've had two states split off. While obviously each state is mixed internally and has its own politics/demographics, and our much more mobile society has helped to "even" out regional differences to some degree, there's still a lot of uniqueness to each state. Just look at the difference between the RINOs in NY & CT competing to give the Dems the best reach around, compared to the R's in CO fighting hard and standing together. A Dem in Alaska may actually have more in common with an Alaska Repub than with an East Coast big city Dem. I think it is not necessarily a reality based premise to assume that the sovereign states are irrelevant or all the same. |

We build up an area, they come in to plunder and eventually destroy it. We leave and build up another area, they follow. Rinse, repeat. If it were cyclical in nature, it wouldn't be as bad. We could return to former red states and revitalize them. The problem is that when the leftists pack up and leave to follow our tax dollars, they leave behind the FSA like a toxic sludge that breeds. |

Eventually, and I might have worked hard for it to come about, I moved to a free state. Nowhere is perfect (at least not that I know). It's easy to get used to the idea you vote doesn't count since your candidate never wins, the media screams down, ridicules or ignores your position. But it's not that way everywhere. It scares me more now as the liberal states begin to circle the drain, how is our liberal federal .gov going to respond. Cali is underwater, NY right behind, Chicago, Detroit, etc are all products of years of liberalism and have had the same pathetic results. This is the opening skirmish in a much larger conflict about what our country stands for. If you think you can win (Colorado, I think can reverse course) continue to work within the system. If not (CA, NY, NJ, MA, now CT and MD) i'd try to go somewhere that respected my rights and wanted free men and women, not welfare clients.
