Pansit is good, as is lumpia. San Miguel is lousy. |

Outside of meat on a stick or chicken on top of rice, I found the food to be pretty underwhelming |

Bicol express is also good with rice. Very hearty and filling after a stressful day.
But if you're going to spend big, at least get crispy pata and lechon kawali. |

Mom was from there, some of the food is great comfort food, and most of the recipes are modified a lot.
The ladies can sit around a table for hours eating whole pan fried fish and rice. |

Vegetable fried Lumpia. Pinakbet (mixture of vegetables with Sautéed shrimp). Beef Afritada (Beef Stew). Halo-Halo (mixed fruit, shaved ice with Filipino ice cream). |
