Hi Goatboy, here is a doosey! How about filters that each user can set themselves? I am primarily thinking of a filter that would allow people to block a users topics, replies and the like. I know this would be a big job and if it is, maybe just file it away in your things to do when I am 80yrs old file. And for anyone else reading this, no, I don't think I would use it but maybe some of the users who just bitch about other users may. hehehe. Maybe it would help the mods. I've thought about this and came to the conclusion that it would work with ignoring topics, but not responses... What would end up hapening is the continuity in the post would be lost to you. The person ignored may post something which sparks talk and leave you wondering what the hell people are talking about! Filtering authors may continue to be a possibility though as you would just be oblivious to an entire discussion. (Although it may be confusing to you so see new topics listed and yet not SEE the new topics and wonder if the board is acting up!) |
