Testing out an Atomic .44 mag handload. This is not my painted gun, but in fact a friend's 4 inch S&W 629. pics linked for size www.scopesux.com/images/guns/44magback.jpg www.scopesux.com/images/guns/44magfront.jpg And a video: www.scopesux.com/files/me44mag.avi .44mag 180gr JHP 32.0gr of win296 The Atomic .357 rounds that I use for competition are about 60-75% of that flash. *edit* Just thought I'd add how I took those pictures. Using a Canon Powershot A95. Set the adjustable aperature time to 2 seconds, and enabled flash. All the lights in the range were off. Shined a flashlight on me so the camera could focus, then my cameraman activated the auto timer and stepped behind the firing line. When the auto-timer went off, the camera opened the aperature and flashed once, illuminating me. I fired the gun, and the camera caught and added the muzzle flash onto the total exposure.

Oh is that why that happened? I was more interested in how the second round sent the flash into the floor, but the bullet impacted about 5 feet up the backstop. I know that I didn't yank the trigger hard enough to hit the floors. |
