It's a Chinese Broomhandle clone.

I am looking for any information on it's history, manufacturer, date, value, etc.

The only ones I have seen with that extended magwell are Chinese 45acp,  Those are called Shansei broomhandles after the Shansei arsenal where they were made.  I see them on Gunbroker for $1500-$3000.  pretty pricey.

Yours looks freshly painted which makes it look better but looses some collector value.

I believe the originals are WW2 era, so anything that looks really nice is quite suspect.  Hopefully its not pot metal.

Hey, if it is 45acp and not a zinc reproduction  I would love to have it myself.   Good luck!

It is an original, blued finish, not painted.  The condition is excellent and has never been fired after it was imported decades ago.

IIRC, those are relatively new production Chinese clones of the .45 Shansei guns.

No idea on the quality.  I think they've been around for a few years now.

There was an article in shotgun news last year about the broomhandle clones.

I'll see if i can dig it up.

Shenshi Arsenal copy of the Broomhandle in 45 ACP that was made before the Commies kicked the Nationalist Chinese off the mainland.  It was refinished before exported to the U.S.

Turn you head for the first one. I can't edit on my phone.

Continued to the next page with two finalized sentences that are pointless fillers.

No problem. I save articles time to time for no particular reason.

You happen to be in luck on this one. Its a shotgun news from last year in August (i don't pick up shotgun news as often as i like) it's the only magazine i have here at work. And i rarely work Saturday nights.  And i saved the one magazine because it talked about broomhandles.

You found an early prototype of a star wars blaster.

They used that gun as the base for the movie prop.

Star wars geeks trying to make reproduction models pay premium for them.
