Has anyone installed it yet?

I am getting ready to download and install it here in just a few minutes.

I downloaded it today on the work computer.  Didn't seem much different to me, but I didn't have time to mess with it much.

I did. I like it. Seems much faster. Might actually start using it again.

I'll be interested in hearing whether you run into the same problems.

Ive had it for about a week now and it seems a little slower to me. Also when I click on links sometimes it takes a couple of clicks before it registers..

Same here, mine was a lot faster before FF4.

I dont run it daily yet due to some plugin issues.  But unless you have esoteric needs FF4 should be GTG.

Backup your profile with mozbackup before upgrading.

I don't know, to me it seems super fast.  Just downloaded and installed.  The one thing I don't like is that my JAVAscript blocker and Linkification add-ons don't work with FF4

I'm currently using 5 installations of it - XP, Win7, and 3 Linux - no problems at all.

So for you the formatting of arfcom is exactly as it was with FF3?

Still no 64-bit version, right?

Exactly the same, and runs faster too.  I like it.

I also have no problems at all with IE9 on the Win7 box.

I suspect a LOT of people's problems with their software is video driver related, and that's a real Pandora's Box to try to fix.

Hmmm.  This is how it looks for me:

Naturally.  You can run just about any 32-bit executable on 64-bit Windows 7.  This is an essential compatibility feature of 64-bit Windows 7, but not what I was referring to.

I was asking whether there will be a regular 64-bit version of Firefox.  So far the only 64-bit builds they've released have been experimental, under the all-too-appropriate name of "Minefield."

Some of the add ons don't work. Fastest Fox isn't working on it. Pain in the ass to have to click through each page instead of scrolling through them all.

Sure would like to know how to remove the automatic page turner I download off firefox a year ago

I have been running Firefox 4.0 Beta for about a month on my work PC with no problems and loved it.  Just upgraded my laptop to 4.0 as well.

Thanks for the info. I hope to learn of a 64-bit version if it is ever released.

I've been using it since Beta 4 –– all of the issues I've identified were fixed before the RC hit.  The release is solid.

My only complaint is that it is EXACTLY like Opera, in terms of look and feel.  It's actually kind of annoying, it's hard to tell them apart when they're both open with the default themes.

Exciting.  You werent using the 4 Beta for the last 6 month?   Shit... I used Firefox 4 long enough to realize that Chrome blows its shit out of the water.  Enjoy.

I used to do the beta thing and then just got tired of my add-ons not workin properly and various other annoyances. I agree that Chrome is faster but I don't really like the Fischer Price feel of it. I do use it for watching live leak and other non-Youtube video sites.

Does it actually crash a lot?

And how about plugin compatibility?  If you're using it on Windows, there isn't a 64-bit version of Silverlight yet, so I'm not sure how that works if you want to do Netflix streaming in 64-bit Minefield.  I would guess "not at all."  Trying to access Netflix streaming in 64-bit IE8 (under Windows 7) gives an error message.

Did firefox do an update because I had the beta and when I turned on the PC this morning there is now a menu bar up in the top left.
