I opened up Firefox just now and all of a sudden have this toolbar called Megaupload? What on earth is this thing for, and how did it get on my machine? I don't see any extra icons on the desktop, no extra files that I noticed, nothing on the start menu! First off, what the heck is it for, and second, how do I get rid of it? |

Browser hijacker, adware, spyware, something along those lines. Regardless it's on your computer and you don't want it there. Hopefully one of the resident computer gurus will be along momentarily, but for right now - if you haven't done so already - download these and run them. Tools - Add Ons: Make sure to disable/delete anything you don't want on your PC. Then go to Control Panel - Add/Remove programs and make sure it's deleted there also. I get the Yahoo toolbar crap and that's how I get rid of it. Don't know how it gets on it though..... |
Ahhhh, got it erased now. Thank you Sir! I just need to google it to find out what the hell it was. If you ever need something, lemme know, I owe ya!
