I ordered a couple of Glock hi cap magazines from a company Firequest.com on the Dec.21, 2012 and got my receipt and email confirming my purchase.
On Jan.2, 2013 I recieved an email stating " Unfortunetly we cannot sell these products to Il. Thank you for choosing FireQuest." This is quoted from the email, not my spelling either. I immediately called the phone number listed on the website and talked to a gentleman there, who said he did not know the rules in Illinois and I should call his manager tomorrow and maybe he would know. I will call them tomorrow and find out what the problem is. High capacity magazines are not illegal or limited in Illinois, only in Chicago, Cook County, Cicero, Frnklin Park and Aurora. All these areas are some 200 miles from Springfield where I live. Now that it is a week later, I have my doubts that I will be able to find these magazines even close to this price again. I will update this post when I talk to them again, or they answer my email reply. |

Called them this morning and Lisa there who stated she is a supervisor said high cap mags are illegal in Illinois and when I asked to talk
to someone who I could let know that that is incorrect and wrong she said I should call back and talk to Paul, but she did not know when Paul would be in. I asked for them to have Paul to call me, and I will call back later in the day also. I asked her several times where they are getting the wrong information and she states the computer tells her when she types in my zipcode. I think the company should at least do a little more searching for information. I found another company online that has checked the facts and I placed an order with them for the same magazines. I will no longer do business with Firequest. |

Restrictions are observed in the following cities and/or states prohibiting the sale or shipment of magazines with more than a 10rd capacity to: Aurora, Il; Chicago, Il; South Bend, IN; All of CA; All of HI; All of MA; All of NJ; All of NY; The sale or shipment of magazines with more than a 20rd capacity is restricted to the entire state of Maryland. And now I noticed that the mags I ordered (Glock Hi Capacity) had doubled in price from $24.95 to $49.95. They can not even follow what is on their own website information. |
