Guy is offering a cord of wood (all seasoned oak) for $200 delivered.  Is this a fair price?
(No - it's not as good as free but going out and chopping my own isn't an option)

Thanks

I just got a 1/2 cord of seasoned, split oak delivered for $85. A full cord was $140. I guess it all depends on your area.

I go to the wood yard(Timber company)and get a cord for about 60.00....and who is there filling up their trailers?...yup, all the Firewood For Sale guys.

Find out where he gets his at, then go there and avoid the markup.

Is that rounds or split wood?

My dad pays about $200/cord for seasoned oak rounds in Pennsylvania.

Here in Oregon you can get seasoned Fir for about $150/cord, sometimes less.  Green wood is free.  I have like 15 cord of log-length spruce that was free 'come and get it' wood.

Split wood is usually more expensive and you get less wood (by weight) per cord.

$175 to $200 here a cord 4'x4'x8'.  Measure it.  (Cords are like peckers and boobs and can vary in size substantially)  Oak takes a while to season at least a year better after two years. Sure burns hot when well seasoned.
