Not bad. In fact, pretty nice.

A combo of a somewhat higher end shaving soap and budget gear:

Razor - El Cheapo Sally Beauty TTO
Blade - Astra Platinum (2nd use this shave)
Soap - Maggard Bergamot & Lime in Timeless Lather Bowl
Brush - Omega Boar #13564 23mm
After - Maggard Alum Block and Skin Bracer

(Cold Water Shave)

Despite all my new purchases during the holiday sales I am not ready to give up that 10 year-old $13 razor from Sally.

It's all in the technique. Damn fine shave. I haven't used Skin Bracer in a decade, either. I wouldn't use it every day but it's old school awesome.

When's the last time you ate a salad?

I need to try one of the vintage safety razors in my brothers collection that his daughter gave me, or pick up a new one to try. He said it gave the best shave he'd ever have.

Cant go wrong shaving with a vintage razor. I use my Gillet I got off ebay a lot and its one of my favorite razors.
