Quoted: I was under the impression that the rear facing OMAC's were the ones that have issues. The OMACs are used for maneuvering. The RCS thrusters are used for minor maneuvering and attitude control. There were 5 aft firing RCS thrusters that had an issue. 4 came back and 1 is shut down for the remainder of the flight. Each dog house has 3 aft firing OMAC thrusters and 2 aft firing RCS thrusters. There are 4 dog houses. There are a total of 20 OMACs and 28 RCS thrusters. Eta the OMACs and RCS are different in design size and thrust |

I will leave my idiotic comment up. My above statement is false. |

In this picture you can see 2 aft firing RCS between the 3 aft firing OMACs at the bottom. Then above them pointing to the right is a down firing OMAC. Above that is 3 RCS thrusters so from left to right is one pointing left is Up firing, one pointing towards the camera is STBD firing and one pointing right is down firing. At the top there are 2 fwd firing OMACs and between them are 2 fwd firing RCS. |
