That is a dominant aircraft! But the F16 is still sexier IMHO. CP Tomcat's all the way http://www.flightsim.com/feature/grumf14/7.jpg Nothing sexier than the F-14

The last maned US fighter, according to my friend and neighbor, a recently retired O-5 USAF F-16 pilot.
I think he might be right. Except for secret stuff, maybe. Good thing, bad thing? Who knows? Not I I'm just glad that there are pilots out there to protect our troops, and if all goes well, they will be getting a new aircraft. Mike |

meh. Should have scrapped that bird and built 1500 F-22s. Then we could have had 1500 aircraft that haven't flown in months! Bingo! Don't warm them up in the hanger. Problem solved. The idea that warming them up in the hangar was the cause of the problem is laughable. |

| I'm not really knowledgeable on fighters. My understanding is that the F22 is the most wicked thing in the sky, except that it is not in the sky due to problems with the O2 system. Before the grounding of the F22s, the F35 was supposed to be a cheaper fighter that could be Jack of all trades, Master of none? Since fighters are expensive, why field the lesser fighter? I hope they will fix the 22 soon. |
