I shot my first match yesterday, an informal charity event modeled after IPSC competitions at our local law enforcement academy. All I can say is "WOW!" I'm hooked. After just under 200 rounds in seven hours, I can honestly say that I can't wait until the next one. I didn't do so hot, eighth out of fifteen, but shot much better than it sounds and would have placed much higher were it not for the seven (!) procedural penalties. (all were for very minor stuff, but I'll know better next time) I guess now I have to lay out some more $$$ and find something to shoot for competitions.
