Any fishers?
So I find weights out diving and they do me no good as I don't fish..anyways just sold them for $20..all are used some in not the best shape but others in great shape. What are these worth?, I asked for $16.50 but they guy is giving me $20 so they must be worth more then my asking price... And looking at store prices there hella expensive..but these aren't new. So what is a fair price to ask in the future? I feel like I could have made a bit more but meh they didn't cost me anything...but still

A lot of us will save them up, and melt them to pour jigs with. Lead is pricey, to the point where some of us make friends with tire shops, so we can scrounge wheel weights, I save lead flashing from demo jobs, I even know a guy who took a cordless sawzall out to a grounded abandoned sailboat, and cut out a big section of the lead from the keel. If I were you, I'd fill a 55 gallon drum, then put it up on craigslist.

You'd be surprised how expensive they get. If you have a tackle store nearby just go look at some prices. Now, if you come across any jigs snatch those up. You can sell those for a nice little profit. I know I was looking at the prices at Cabelas and for like 6 of the 5oz it's about $12 So with my 15 or so 5oz that's $36...shit. Jigs as in for melting the weights and recasting? |
