A recent power outage made me realize something. It's a little hard to do things when your holding a 400lumen light in your hands ,therefore I need some type of hands free system.

I'm not looking for a head mounted light, I'm looking for a way to rig my current AA and CR123 lights to my head. I know Fenix has such a thing but I want to know if there are other platforms to consider.

Duct tape should do it.

Some, like the SF EB1 have clips that you can just slip over the brim of a cap.   I know you aren't looking for a "head light", But the cheap Energizer models Work great, and are fairly durable for the price.

400 lumens....pffft.  Get a bigger light so it lights up the whole room.

The Fenix version is pretty nice. The kit includes two flashlight mounts (even though only one is shown in the picture)  - With just a little bit of ingenuity, you can make two complete headlamps from one kit.
