| I haven't spent much time researching flashlights. My first, which was given to me, was a surefire. It's been solid and that first flashlight still works after about 8 years. Been buying them ever since, and will continue to do so until they give me a reason to stop. |
| I voted other because there is no Armytek Predator Pro option on your poll. It is by far the most durable and capable flashlight I've owned. Those that are still paying Surefire prices should check out the other brands. I owned several Surefire lights, but there are better options on the market at half the price. Fenix PD35 is my EDC however the Predator Pro is my SHTF light |
| Just picked up an Eagletac T252C and this thing is the best flashlight I have ever owned. It was 100 dollars and it's really nice at that price. It can run on cr123 batteries or 18650. Dana I agree People should head over to Candlepower it the ar15 of flashlight info. |

If my life depended on one, then I'd consider the $100 flashlights. For flashlights, I go cheap, and stack em deep. These $4 flashlights are fine with me. Good quality, and use plain old AA batteries. |

I have a mess of Surefire lights and Fenix lights. Other than clicky switch problems on a couple of my Surefires, I've had great luck with them. The Fenix lights are excellent as well. My favorite light right now is my Nitecore EA4 Pioneer. Excellent build quality, insanely bright, great beam, throws like a mother and it runs on AA batteries. Great value as well. $50-$60 for 860 lumens. Interface is a little balky at first. I wouldn't carry it as a primary light if I was LEO for that reason. I did a thread (that nobody read )on it recently. http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/1583571_Flashlight_Recommendation___4xAA__860_Lumens___Nitecore_EA4_Pioneer.htmlI also picked up a Fenix PD22 (1xCR123) - Excellent light and seems much brighter than 210 lumens. Super compact, well built, great interface. |

I carry a FourSevens Mini MA with an Eneloop AA. Great small flashlight for EDC.
Mini MA I also like the flashlights posted by LurchAddams. Great inexpensive flashlights for family members. If it gets lost, no big deal and is inexpensively replaced. I use regular alkaline AAs for the flashlights. I keep at least 5 of the FordEx flashlights as spares. Quoted:

I've been looking at the EA4, but I've been holding off on purchasing due to the issue with the switch material. EA4 switch issue Have you had any issues with the EA4? |

Other.
I daily carry an HDS Systems Ra Clicky 140n (I've upgraded the led a few times now). Hdssystems.com Bombproof lights. Small company, had some troubles with finding new machine shops for a few years but now they're cranking out some fantastic lights once again. Rotary and clicky options, the lights feel like solid chunks of aluminum in your hand. Pretty efficient battery useage and all modes are output adjustable so you can prpgram and reprogram as you need. Seems complicatd just reading the manual but with the light in your hands it takes all of ten minutes to understand the programming menus and submenus. |

I just got a streamlight, and this is the first time I have every had to say this about a flash light. It is too bright to use for stuff around the house or working on guns. Its mostly for wide open areas.
I am very impressed with it though. It is rechargeable in the car or home, I would get another in a heart beat. |

)on it recently.

) is Surefire, at 5X the price and being limited to CR123s only.
