Looks like it takes a lot of HP to make it work.... but *DANG*! www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBa9wdOANHw |
There is a new product out called a Kite Tube. It's basically a 10 foot tube that allows you to do the same thing as the Manta Ray. I was reading a forum about it and one guy was going basilistic posting warning about how the product is flawed and he was going to sue the company. Apparently a family member of his was riding it and despite the warnings not to go higher than 10 ft or faster than 30 miles per hour, they had the tube 15 to 20 feet up in the at over 40mph. The tube got hit by a crosswind, the family member fell off and and broke his neck. Apparently this is some how the manufactures fault and he was going to make them pay.

absolutely, remember physics? doing projectile motion? the x and y axis are completely separate. more at home example if you drop a bullet at the same time you shoot one from the same height, and the place you are shooting is flat, the bullet will hit the ground next to you the same time the one you shoot hits the ground way the frick out there. they are independent, and the forces (remember its 9.8m/second SQUARED) attached to falling from 10' vs 25' will still make a BIG difference. |
