I'm heading back over to Iraq for a bit again, but going through Kuwait this time. There's a United flight that arrives just a couple hours before the Gryphon flight takes off for BIAP.

My question is how bunged up the Kuwaitis get over a holster in the bag. It's never been a problem in Jordan, but I don't know about Kuwait. Anyone have any experience to relate?

They run your bags through an x-ray machine but they don't seem very concerned with anything Americans are bringing in

Cannot answer your question. But if you need a ride ask for the "Sherpa Shack" We have flight from OKAS to BIAP and ORBD every night.

i have brought weapons, holsters, IBA,s kevlar's, etc through Kuwait many times never had any problems ––  now if you have ammo or weapons then you need to have the orders and get the LNO to walk you over to the little Kuwait customs room to record the serial #'s

I flew into KC tonight on United and boarded the Gryphon hop to Sather about 45 minutes later. There was no customs interaction at all.

Aviator, I'll have to check into that next time. Thanks for the heads-up.

Never had a problem in Kuwait (other than I hate the place).  In contrast, try flying through Jordan with kevlar and body armor if you want trouble.
