Ever get Giant Papillary Conjunctivitis?  Did it clear up with treatment and were you able to return to wearing contacts?  I just was diagnosed with this today.

I wear contacts but I've never had that. You may be dying. Dibs on guns and gear!

Never had it, but I have heard of it.  It will go away after a couple months but you will have to cease wearing contacts during that time.  I used to get infections and had all kinds of issues until I switched to Focus Dailies.  No more cleaning solutions, storage cases, or other paraphernalia.  I wear them once and throw them away.  Money well spent IMO.

Had some neovascularization show years ago with hard lenses.

Went away after switching to soft.

Other than that I have never had anything and I have been wearing contact lenses with only a brief gap for around 50 years.

I'm going on 30+ years of wearing extended wear, soft lenses. No issues to date.  Sleep with them in more often than not.

Hoping it's not that long.  At least it's not summer yet.  Doc said dailies will be an option if/when it clears up.

In my tarded youth I got corneal vascularization from leaving them in too long.

Had to wear glasses for a couple months to make sure I hadn't jacked up eyes.

Now I wear dailies.

I'm going back to the optometrist tomorrow to try a different brand of monthly replacement ones before I pull the trigger on my next year's supply.

I'm probably going to go with monthly replacements, and buy a box of daily replacement ones as a supplement for when I go camping or whatever.   That way I don't have to fuck with cleaning contacts out in the middle of nowhere and have fresh, clean, sterile contacts ready to go.

Never had serious problems with contacts, but I will say that these daily ones are extremely comfortable.   Very thin, too.

Had it last summer.  Used steroid eye drops and it cleared up in a week or two.

Daily wear lenses are in your future.

I had something similar that was caused by an allergy to the contacts themselves.  I had to switch to glasses for a long time, i want to say i chose to go without contacts from 8th grade through 10th because of it,

I have been trouble free for almost 20 years now...

Thanks guys.  I'm hoping it clears up quickly.  I hate wearing glasses

I got it frequently.  Allergy shots & daily contacts took care of it.

The issue was the proteins would get on the contacts and no amount of anything (including the hydro peroxide solution) would remove it.
