Only $79K? Shit, that's pocket change. A Luger collector paid a little over $1mil for the only exsisting model of the .45acp Lugers left used in the 1910 handgun Army trials. Then, he took a photgrapher from AM Handgunner out in the desert & SHOT the GD thing! And then let the photographer shoot it! Great story on that that gun! What ever became of John Wilkes Booth's gun used to shoot Lincoln? |

I would have shot the Luger too. Not like it was NIB - it had been fired before [:)] John Wilkes Booth's gun is on display in Washington DC. It's displayed in the very theater he used it in... Edited: Found a link and a picture. http://members.aol.com/RVSNorton/Lincoln10.html |

Never never ever buy a gun you can not shoot! Yes in a heartbaet I would shoot it, it's a Colt dammit, they are made to be shot. Let me put it to you this way, my Dad loved to fish, he had 3 heart attacks and cancer, his old fishing buddy came to me saying he would love to take my Dad out in his boat fishing, but was worried if something happened? I told him he would die happy, do it.... it was my Dad's last time fishing, He had such a smile on his face when he came back in... Shoot the gun! |
