Ron Paul say's the same thing, but everyone hates him.
They don't hate him because of his domestic policy views. Most hate him because of his foreign policy positions. We give out a lot of foreign welfare and it takes many forms. You mean being a knight on a white steed running to every other country's rescue?

This lines up perfectly with the little reported statistic that the right donates far more time and money to charitable causes than the left.

If you ever go to see their show at the Rio in Vegas, He and Teller make it a point to greet everyone leaving the theater after the show for pics, autographs, etc. I ended up onstage as the observer during the bullet trick.
