| I've got a '93 Ford Explorer and the check engine light kicks on when i hit the freeway. I usually own GM's and you can check the diagnostic codes by shunting the port with a paperclip. Is there a similar trick on fords? |

Nope, sorry well yes lemme look ok ignore the VOM and just watch the MIL on the dash short signal return to STI and count the flashes you should get 3 digit codes, if you have any hard faults, they will repeat followed by a single flash which represents a seperator code, followed by continuous codes, just count the flashes and post your findings
