Probably three years ago I found a class ring of a West Virginia University graduate while hiking. All it has is the guys initials and graduating year (1994) engraved in it.
I randomly brought this up at work and a buddy mentioned I could find a list of graduates from WVU in 1994, but I couldnt find anything like that online. I would like to return the ring to the owner, I mean, what am I gonna do with it. But this was the first idea I have been presented with to try and locate the owner. Any ideas? |

Try to contact the Regstrars office... if the alumni office fails. If not mistaken those folks handle transcripts etc. they would have all the important stuff such as Social Security, DOB etc. a current/former address etc. Tell them whats going on , and see if they can contact him or her and have them call you....leave your number with them. I think there is a federal law out ther somewhere that says they must protct the student's ID...I guess because of selling their name off to data bases, id theft etc. However they con contact the person and have the individual contact you :o) |
