| I had mice eat the shit out of my wiring in my first Tacoma. It had sat for a few weeks and they went to town on it. Lots of things went wrong thereafter, and I ended up selling it. Good luck, OP. If he's been busy on other wires, you may not see the end of this for a while. |

We were gearing up for a mission when I noticed smoke coming out from under the hood of my M1151, the driver popped the hood, swore and pulled out half a kitten, the rest was churned up in the belts. It smelled SOO bad for the rest of the day.
It must have been cold the night before and crawled up in the engine block. |

You sure it wasn't a mouse or rat? ETA: I just don't see a rabbit climbing in there like that. Quoted:

No, it was a rabbit, my wife even saw it. the driver popped the hood, swore and pulled out half a kitten Had that happen as well in my Tahoe, lifted the hood and got a face full of stink and cat hair. At least it didn't damage anything. You can fix that yourself in abt 10 minutes...
Rather have the dealership deal with it, don't know if they'll have to reset any codes or programs, the Chargers are fly by wire now, no throttle cables. |

Power went off a few weeks ago, was going to take the battery out of my 1994 Yukon GT (low miles) to hook to my power inverter so I could have a few lights if power was off after sunrise.
Figured I'd run Yukon for 15 minutes to charge battery, glad I decided to look under the hood. HUGE fluff of a chipmunk nest, leaves, etc, all around my Borla headers, would have made a nice blaze. I have well water so I'd have been screwed...Fortunately my wiring is ok. (Of course power came on as soon as I hooked up inverter!) |

Some vehicles use a soy baised insulation on the wires. Haven't had it happen yet but I need something to keep Rabbits and Meeses away. |
