My family was giving me grief about one of my favorite breakfast foods this morning. Toast (better w/biscuit), blackberry jelly, and a slice or two of bacon on it. Mmmm. Good stuff. Another taste good together thing IMHO is chocolate cake and soup beans. My dad taught me that one long ago. So, first question. Are the above gross or not? Second question, what are your freaky food combos? |

First one sounds good. Best tasting thing I ever had was a bit strange. Elk meatballs coated with grape jelly / chili sauce. Need to make more than one batch for sure. I can eat an entire one myself. 1 lb. ground elk 1/2 C. dry bread crumbs 1/3 C. minced onion 1/4 C. milk 1 egg 1 TBSP. snipped parsley 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/4 C. shortening 12 oz. chili sauce 10 oz. grape jelly Instructions: Mix ground elk, bread crumbs, onion , milk, egg, and next four ingredients; gently shape into 1-inch meatballs. Melt shortening in large skillet; brown meatballs. Remove meatballs from skillet; pour off fat. Heat chili sauce and jelly in skillet, stirring constantly, until jelly is melted. Add meatballs and stir until thoroughly coated. Simmer uncovered 30 minutes. |

Call a cab and hit up Wendy's. Dip their fries in their frosty. It's fucking good! |
Out of mermite cans served cold. Two leathery pancakes with a sausage patty and a disk of grits in between with grape jam holding the thing together.Sometimes there were butter pats left.Grab some and insert from the sides. Eat while moving where ever you are told to go. |
Yep! Thats tastey. But I had to substitute tea for coffee. My insides do not like coffee even though I do. Home baked bread, sliced thin, toasted with butter or cream cheese, anchovy paste, a piece of feta cheese, topped with a olive of your choice. I get really strange looks. It also works with the Triscuit crackers. |
One of my friends and I found that delicious combo about 4-5 years ago on a dare. We ate it all the time. Unfortunately, he became a drug doing, alchie who dropped out of school and put on a lot of weight. He works at a dollar store. |
Fucking AWESOME!! Even better with blackberry jam. I once did an amazing peach and vidalia onion relish with grilled pork chops. For dessert, try fresh strawberries in balsamic vinegar. Trust me on this one. It's amazing |

OK I work in the oil field and get to see some crazy mixes. The one I believe topped them all is: Mustard Sardines between 2 Oreo cookies. Nearly lost my lunch on that one. For all you old farts: Bottle of Coke with a bag of salted peanuts poured in. Had one the other day for old times sack. |
