just got 2 coupons for free dish network equipment with install. All you have to do is pay for service. Just thought i'd offer in case anyone was wanting to buy one. mike |

Quoted: What is the term of the service contract? is it up to 4 receivers per household? if i am reading this right it is for a dish500 system with up to 2 free recievers. <2 tv's> requires 12month programming commitment of at least 22.99 per month. I think you would have to have a second dish for more than 2 tv's. not sure if the mini dishes support more than 2 feeds per dish. i think they charge 5.00 per extra reciever also. mike |
| Actually there is no limit to the number to the number of receivers a dish can handle. Most dishs have a limit of either one or two recievers, based on what type of LNB they have (either single or dual), to go beyond two you will need a multi-switch, and these can be had with up to 64 or more outputs, but are normally either eight or four line. I think that Dish Network has been running a deal where you can have up to four receivers installed for free, and you pay a monthly rental type deal for the equipment, plus the programming fee's, as I recall it was a decent deal. |

hmmmm. ok let me ask you this. If i was to install a 4 way switch and picked up 2 more recievers could i do this; I only use 2 tv's max at a time. If i installed the switch and added the recievers could i pull the card out of one reciever and use it in the reciver i want to watch? Basically bounce the cards around to the recievers? That would save me about 15.00 per month on programming. Reason i ask is that i know where i can get some fairly new recievers without the cards for dish tv. mike |

Beer slayer... No (not legally) the cards are married to the rec's. If the cert is for a 501 system installed it is a deal. We sell dish and best we can do is 49.99 activation and 50 for the 501 upgrade (from a 301) Check validity of cert, forgerys have been seen. jneal |
