True. But that image you posted is the view of an F-105 guns kill on a MiG-17 somewhere over North Vietnam, not the Phantom. BTW, the best photos of MiG's are always those with a Sidewinder flying up the ass of them. The only good MiG is a dead MiG. |
HUH?? I've always liked the looks of the MiG 21 and 23. |
D'oh!!! ![]() Ya gotta like the Thud, too! Thanks for the update! |

I was stationed at Tyndall in 95 when we had a MIG 23 in pieces-parts strewn across a hangar floor. Our AR guys were putting it together as a static display for the William Tell guys... I remember looking long and hard at the landing gear. I still can't believe the commies designed something that complicated just for landing gear struts. |

Here's some great footage of Migs in action... youtube.com/watch?v=osVws0EMwgA |

Here's a link with a bunch of great photos of OUR own MiGs (and ChiCom manufactured copies)! Constant Peg Mig-23MS ![]() MiG-21F-13 and Shenyang F-7B (rear-hinged canopy) ![]() Both types most likely sourced from Egypt in the early 80s. |
Looking at the tail markings I'm thinking thats a BOne, but who's Migs are they? Or is it a Blackjack? -K |
Yes, that's a B-1B from Elmendorf (EL) and those are Luftwaffe MiG's |
Shockwave is the shit! I remember watching that truck smoke small jets every year at the Quad City Air Show. |
