I figure someone out there has already found a solution to my dilema. I am looking for ideas to replace my current method of purchasing gas/diesel. I have a "insert oil company" fleet card for my family. It used to be a pretty good deal, a couple of cents off per gallon if I bought at their pumps. These days, they don't have the best prices even with the two penny discount. In fact I often find fuel as much as a dime cheaper. I am looking to change my method of purchasing/paying for fuel. I have a daughter in college that uses my account so a credit card is not an option. Cash works for me but it is easier to budget for the daughter and wife's fuel on monthly basis. We spend about $600 a month on gas and diesel. Three separate cards, two trucks, an SUV thingy and some toys. Travel mostly in the Pacific NW. Any ideas for a fleet card or credit card good for fuel/oils only that would be good at a variety of suppliers? Something that a fairly responsible but sometimes flighty college student wouldn't be tempted to abuse. She's a great kid but usually broke!!! My company has such a card from their bank, it is good at any service station/ gas and go. I don't buy enough to set up a fleet account with them. They run several hundred rigs compared to my measley three!!! |
