Quaid was 20 years old, it was his first film role and he was nominated for best supporting actor. You will also see a young, topless Carol Kane as a prostitute, and a uncredited appearance by a very young Gilda Radner as one of the chanters. Best line of the film? I AMTHE FUCKING SHORE PATROL, MOTHER FUCKER! Edit; Best opening scene for a film? Omaha Beach in Saving Private Ryan. Honorable mention to the slow Mo flight deck from Top Gun. |
