Gentlemen,

Up until now, something like this has not existed. We have an opportunity for a lucky buyer to have the ONLY transferable SCAR 17 in existence. I know what everyone is thinking...impossible. Technically you are correct BUT in this case we have a conversion device that has been adapted without modifying the receiver to a SCAR 17 host. I also know what you are thinking...impossible. Technically you are incorrect because we have a letter from the BATFE that describes a small family of conversion devices by SN which can be adapted to a host weapon WITHOUT modifying the receiver. The unique thing about the conversion device we are describing is not limited to a specific host or host family such as an HK sear which is also identified in the letter from the BATFE. As many of us are aware, there are a large number of foreign made Title I firearms that are available in which the lower 'fire control' group is not the registered component of the weapon. It is in these types of weapons that the conversion device can be adapted with a little gunsmith craftsmanship. Contact us if interested; serious inquires only:

It almost sounds like he is talking about modifying a FNC sear to work in a SCAR.  My understanding that it is a no-go according to the BATFE.

And I thought that anything that made the firearm full auto is, in effect, creating a new Title II firearm.

For $100K, he is going to have to cough up a damned lot more information.

About as legit as the $26,000,000 this guy in Nigeria is holding for me

Smells like bullshit.

Something tells me he's inferring a lot more from that BATFE letter than is actually printed on the paper.  I'd be surprised if the letter actually states that he can shoehorn his conversion into a SCAR.

What a load of absolute horseshit.

I'm gonna email him and find out the specifics.  He's got some serious explaining to to do justify that price for a serious buyer.  Since I could probably swing it, that means I'm serious.  Time to email him...will report back.

Wasn't there someone working on an M60 that took an HK sear?

I am pretty sure they are available I have always wondered how it was legal since the fnc sear was not legal in any other guns but the fnc.

If that were the case, RDIAS would be illegal. But who knows with those bureaucratic fucks.

In that particular case, the RDIAS IS the firearm.

How the RDIAS is made for the M16 platform which is what it is used in. I can't think of any other guns the RDIAS are used in. The FNC sear can be made to work in most FN guns but the ATF has said it is a no go unless someone wants to send a transferable auto sear in and risk it getting confiscated if they consider it to be a post sample.

Even if it was legit, how the F is it worth $100K? What does an FN FNC sear cost these days? $4,000?

Machine Gun Armory makes an m249 that is set up for an HK lower.  But you can't put a registered pack in it per the ATF.

It would work, but it's a no-go

well, I have two mgs and if I sold a bunch of other stuff, I could swing it I'm sure.  That means I'm legitimate...doesn't mean the risk wouldn't outweigh the benefit of buying it though.  So I'm not sure how to assess how one is "serious".

The membership thing is hilarious.  I just don't need the benefits associated with the membership, nothing against the site.

The RDIAS can go in the new colt .308 (can't remember the designator) or any type of ar15 platform.  Not in other ar10s, etc.

No way would I pay 100k for a SCAR 17 with a happy switch when I could buy something way more badass like a M60 and enough ammo to fill a swimming pool to feed it. Even then I'd still have money to spare, lol.
