You still got 2 wrong ![]() lol I got frustrated w/ them and went back and did a "similar" exercise and got them right. So HA! I think they've dumbed down college algebra because of the people that wait 10 years then want to come back to college, and have to pick all this stuff back up. Might I also add this is only the REVIEW (notice the MML Review) portion of the class? I haven't started in on the 1st chapters worth of homework. |

Yup. That's not algebra; that's basic trig. If it doesn't include any of the following; eigenvalue, eigenvector, eigenspace, determinant, Gaussian elimination/modeling, or at least a few matrices, then it isn't real college (linear) algebra. |

Fuck that noise. I took college algebra twice and finally got a C. No, I am not a math major. I can beat that, I took it 3 times. I don't think I EVER got up to a C either . Then again, when you consider that I probably only went to class 20 times cumulatively (and slept when I did go) it isn't any real surprise.

Holy shit I hated My Math Labs homework. Hated as in past tense? Like... you don't hate it anymore and love it now? ![]() Only had to do it in precalc. I would factor some huge fuckin polynomial, find the zeros and forget a comma and it would make me do it again. I actually learned less that semester and took it again the next. I learn from the book and studying. That shit took 2-3hrs a night so fuck a bunch of studying for 2 hrs, THEN doing 2-3 more hrs of MathLab. I had an A in that class and dropped it mid semester. Thats how much I hated the Mathlabs.

"College Algebra" really doesn't count.
It is a lower than 100 level class and will not count towards a degree in any place I have ever looked. You take it in order to qualify for the ones that count... If you placed lower than a certain level on your placement tests. |

So glad I'm done, Algebra gives me brain pain.
