I just had a resume come across my desk with a 2.something GPA listed on it. Here's a hint: If you're not 3.5+, don't list your GPA. I won't ask about it if you don't bring it up. But don't volunteer a shitty GPA at an ivy league school. Hell, I had a mediocre GPA but I didn't brag about it. |

There is usually some truth to every story.
Because of the way weighted averages work, it would be possible for some mediocre student to ace his last semester in college, and see no appreciable increase in his cumulative GPA. Some day, we'll wake up and stop this "college for everyone" nonsense. It just isn't value-added. |

No one give a shit what your GPA was back in college. The wealthiest man that I personally know (could pick up the phone and call him directly) is 10 years younger than me, a highschool drop-out with poor parents and started with NOTHING, and has personal and business assets well over $20 million.
It ain't your edumacation, it's what you do with it... (and yes, I have 3 college business degrees with 3.0+ gpa's) |
