I took a 20 year break from golf and got back into last year. There was no GPS enabled carts when I quit, so experiencing them is new to me. I'd like to find whoever invented them and kick them in the nuts. |

It can be mildly annoying at times. On the other hand, every retard who tries to park next to a green or drive through an obviously off-limits area claims they didn’t know they couldn’t do that. We end up with nanny controls because people are fucking stupid and have no course etiquette anymore. |

The nanny features are annoying, but they do serve to protect the course as management sees fit and err on the side of caution. Op, for slow play, they know it's not you, unless it is you. Typically there's an out of bounds like line that shows the boundary. Miss it by a wide margin. It may only show in the hole flyover. If they're really off, have a respectful conversation with whomever is in charge and ask for compensation for the inconvenience. Or yell at the 17yo tending carts, they're typically empowered  I keed because it is frustrating as hell having to putt out with that buggy screaming like you parked it in a bunker from the geometric dead center of the cart path Also, driving said schizophrenic buggy in reverse 150yd to the next tee box while it's still screaming is quite soothing to your ragged nerves after a sweet 3 putt. If all else fails, take video and shread them on the internet if they're obstinate. Oh, and my personal favorite, downhill speed limits that aren't enforced by the same technology that alerts you to your error and may shut the cart down completely as a punitive measure. |
