First post in GD.  With all the sh*t 13ers got in the beginning ive laid low and just sat in my corner...

Anyway, I had a buddy tell me about a hobby where people go to places that arent "mapped" or logged into gps systems and register them into gps databases.  I did some google searching and could not find anything about it...anyone heard of this?

See the "g" in GPS?  That means "global". Not many places to go that aren't covered by gps. And no database at all.

I'm the GPS Mapping Extraordinaire and I've never heard of that.

Be aware: your friend could be on drugs.

Eta: it does sound vaguely like geocaching.

You can't take that personally... besides now all you have do is complain about 15'ers and it becomes the new 13'er.
