Going to create a thread on Sunday when I have more time, but the OP himself rescued this black GSD, posted a thread, and now he is at his permanent home.  It was great meeting akethan and so glad to have found Zeus.

So far he is responding VERY well to commands and can tell him to sit and stay, walk away and he will sit there til you tell him to come.  Cats are currently in hiding but he is taking well to his new home.  Very very close to my girlfriend already and plenty friendly with my 5 year old.  So far so good and so grateful for the OP meeting me so we could get him.

So here is Zeus, and I will still be creating a thread on Sunday when I can get better pics and update the OP and everyone how he is adapting to his new home.

Gunner, my second GSD.  Well, third but my second.  The first was Duchess, a stray that was snakebit and found during a thunderstorm.  She had a bullet in her chest, just under the skin.  Lived for 10 years, even after heart worm treatment.  My first wife had a male GSD before we got married so Gunner has a playmate.

Mine loves to attack the water. It's the only time he looks mean.

Then he has that satisfied look....

Was this just a brushing/Furminator or a trim?

I get piles like that off my dogs with the Furminator. I've taken to shaving them down a few times a year to get rid of all the dog hair in the house. Works wonders lol.

This was a recent trip to the groomer . I think they just bathe him then blow off the loose hair and finish off with a brushing.
