So I'm trying to install my new eliminator kit and the instructions are vague. They say to remove the left fender to access the wiring but I see no obvious bolts, screws or hardware to loosen to remove the left fender. Anyone have any suggestions or went through this on their bike. It's a 09 GSXR-750. I watched a video on youtube but it isn't the same setup. Seems 09's are different... Worst case, I could take it to the dealer and get charged an arm and a leg to have them perform probably 15 minutes of work

Thanks in advance!!

Left fender? Do you mean left fairing? Or left tail fairing? What brand of fender eliminator is it?

Left tail section and it's a rumble concepts fender eliminator kit.

Are you trying to disconnect the factory license plate light wiring? Is there no way to access it from inside the glove box or from under the seat?

Yes that is what I'm trying to access, there is no physical way I can get my large hands down in between to access the connector. I suppose I could splice it?

When i got my bike, the previous owner had already cut the plate light wires. The tail section is probably held on by the push rivets through the undertail, and also clipped in up near the passenger seat. Also, check under the seat (main seat) to see if it's held in any there. Sorry i can't be any more specfic. Try searching for a free copy of the bike's service manual or ask on www.gixxer.com

I suppose I could splice it?

You could also do this, Did the fender elminator come with a factory style connector on it or just wire?

Just wire.

Honestly i'd say they intended for you to cut/splice then. I'd add some disconnects though, so you can remove the fender elminator if you ever need to.

Also did the video on youtube not show removing the tail section?

I Googled a few pictures, it looks like push rivets with the undertail and then you'll probably have to remove the passenger seat/cover and possibly the seat.

Sorry that's not more help, all I can tell from Google.
