Check out the Acer Predator X34. 1440p, IPS display, ultra wide, 100mhz refresh rate, and GSync. If you don't care about ultra-wide with a high refresh IPS, check out some 4K monitors.  I love mine.

I haven't gamed in 7-8 years but I just put together a new gaming PC. Also went with Geforce 1080.
