Quoted: Garand Thumb and the rest of the "rat pack" (Donut Operator, Brandon Herrara, etc) are Unfathomably based. Paul Harrell can come hang too, he can be the fudd uncle that reeks of cheap beer and stale cigarettes but gives solid advice. View Quote Ian M from Forgotten Weapons is my favorite. Looks like he's late for a Renacance Fair while going into the minutia of every firearms that's ever been built. |

Why’s nobody talking about the Sig? Lol its also a legit winner here and did well in the ice test!
It’s crazy how differently people interpret things. I thought the m&p did well because they didn’t really get it as muddy the first go around. That’s why they were like “oh that looks like it’ll run!” |

Should be an interesting test. The freezing teste were interesting but not repeatable, he just poured water by hand on the guns - would have had less variability if he'd submerged them all in a tub for 2-3 seconds, then pulled them out and drained them, cycle it, take out / put in the mag, and let them freeze, as if someone dropped their gun into a lake and did a quick drain and function test then had to go back into combat.

I’m pretty sure the only way to stop an M&P is to drop it in wet concrete. And let it dry.
I enjoy laughing at the Stacatto guys who forgot for a second it’s still a 1911. |

Quoted: I can’t believe how well the 1911 did. I love my M&P. Fantastic shooter. View Quote Same here. While USGI 1911's have always been pretty reliable in poor environments, modern built versions have always seemed to be built on the "tight" side. Tight and mud (or sand... or ice... or whatever) is a recipe for trouble. |

You know, just in case Parts availability varies from pretty OK from certain distributors but it’s a small fraction of the availability of Glock. Great platform though, and somehow equivalent Glocks (not a diss, Glocks are good guns) cost $100 more (as of this AM when I looked at my LGS). |

I don't know, as I still use non-modular handguns... |

So seriously. I carry a G43X MOS now and love it but I like to change things up and waste money on holsters etc. I met a dude yesterday and he told me I should buy a 365XL frame and barrel and a 365 Macro comped slide and carry that. I am tempted BUT now I see this video and have to ask myself if an M&P would make a good carry gun.

Keep it. Though I’d say to go for some sort or 365 just for the better mag capacity. 365X with a 507k, 365 standard, macro, all solid guns. |
