GE gas oven will not heat.  

JGR514BEW5BB    older model

No flame or heat source, oven still has power.  Separate gas range and water heater work fine, no oddly high gas bills lately.

Best guess is the "igniter" is not igniting, do not see a pilot light.  Broiler does not start either.

Any help or direction appreciated.

Had the same problem and it was the thermocouple.  Also could be the igniter.

I lit my gas oven during Hurricane Sandy several times

Tried that with a grill light, I think it us electrically "lit"

close the windows & turn it on to make sure the gas is flowing

if you smell somthing funny, stick you head in there to see if something is wrong, use a match to help you see better.

Lose power recently? I know on my range if it loses power it automatcally locks the burners and you have to hold down a button for 5seconds to unlock it.
