[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Gen. Clark (Page 1 of 2)

Says that John McCain doesn't have enough experience for the white house, but apparently his candidate Obama with one whole term under his belt does. Hmmmmmmmmm.![]() www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/06/29/clark.mccain/index.html?iref=mpstoryview |
Obama doesn't have a whole term under his belt, far from it. |
|
Obama's record is thin? Obama doesn't even HAVE a record! It's a given that Barack Hussein Obama will select a VP running mate who has some wartime experience, because the Chicago empty suit doesn't have a CLUE about the military. He is incapable of knowing how to protect this nation. Wesley Murtha Clark shows his character here, badmouthing another military man. |
Got a source for that quote? I'd just like to be certain before I start referencing it. |
Obama probably watched Top Gun, did McCain ever attend Top Gun? Clearly Obama is more qualified. |
I believe the quote I listed was from "Crossfire" sometime in 03, but there is a similar statement on his still active website. www.clark04.com/moore/ It's in an article by Michael Moore, but he is quoting Clark. |
Thanks. |
Hey - that's the same "experience" I talked about in my thread!
|
More likely a special academy admission applicant...ALL of the ROTC officers I worked with were top notch. But I ran across quite a few academy grads that couldn't successfully navigate their nostrils with their fingers. |
How many people is that Obama has had to "distance" himself from? Pastors, friends, longtime supporters, a church, advisers in his campaign, and now Wes Clark. If this keeps up he's going to be a lonely fella. |
He crossed that line while on active duty. I have met no one with any regard or respect for him. Clark is a classic example of a guy who "made it" off of the efforts - and at the expense of - others. |
In fairness he's asked people to stop bagging on his wife, who is campaigning for him and bagging on pretty much everybody else. But, if he takes heat for it I suppose he will distance himself from her, too. Loyalty: Another thing lacking from the Obama campaign. |
He also said something to the effect, "If people have assault weapons the government should know where they are." |
From Wikipedia:
Just sayin'. ![]() |
I'm starting to imagine a parody of the Who's "Magic Bus" with Obama in it... |
Would be if you were married to him. See, I TOLD you he was on the down-low. No, I cannot spot them. The gay guys he hangs out with do that naturally. |
|
Clark stated something similiar about John Kerry in the 2004 primaries. He believes that only someone who has obtained a star on their shoulder can present themselves as a military leader or with a knowledge of national security. It is clear though through Clark's performance during the Balkans and Kosovo showed that he obtained his rank through administrative talent and not through a display of tactical ability. There is a BIG difference between an General who is strong with administration during peace time and one that has a strong command of tactics. Had McCain been left uninjured and not pursued a career in politics it is high likely that he like his father and grandfather would have made admiral. I believe McCain did a Captain. |
Good thing he wasn't in the Marines with the whole "you will give your weapon a girl's name" thing. ![]() |
As I said in the other Clark thread, it's the old "good cop, bad cop" routine. Clark was sent out there to set up Obama's "patriotism" speech today. No doubt about it, this was orchestrated, and I'm sure that Clark was told ahead of time that if he's demonstrates his willingness to "take one for the team", he'll have the SecDef or National Security Adviser position should Obama win. |

Quoted: From Wikipedia: Clark's final divisional command came with the 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood, Texas. Clark was in command during three separate deployments of forces from Fort Hood for peacekeeping in Kuwait. Once promoted to a full 4-star general, Clark assumed command of USSOUTHCOM in June 1996.Some critics, such as CounterPunch and FrontPageMag.com, have made allegations that Clark was, to some degree, involved in the Waco Siege, where 74 Branch Davidian followers were killed during the final raid, including their leader David Koresh. Groups making allegations of Clark's involvement note that Clark's second-in-command at the time, future General Peter Schoomaker, met with Not Alledged. Proven By David T Hardy and others, A dallas Times Herald Reporter. ATF trained for the raid at ft hood. were provided helicopters. Google it. FBI obtained 40 mm HE grenades. 40mm Flare rounds. military pyrotechnic CS grenades which is documented were found fired. |
But he was a community organizer!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Hillary with her 35 years of experience!!!!!!!!!!! What a fuggin' joke. Glad that bitch is gone and hopefully Obama will be gone soon as well. When do those 527's start rolling out their ads?????? |
and i said in the other thread that o(b/s)ama gets clark to dress up in a lassie suit so's he can play timmy.... |
|
This wouldn't be the same Clark that came with in a C%NT hair of getting us in to a shooting war with the Russians over Pristina Airfield in Kosovo, would it? I also recall Col. Hackworth stating he would make a fine Amadasador but he was no "Man of War". Now thats one opinion I can believe in. edit for spelling |
|
I think ya'll are reading this wrong. Clark is one of the Clinton's lackies that they keep in the back until needed. I think he intentionally spouted off that stupid "McCain is inexperienced" crap so that the heat would end up on Obama. No body sane, even those in the mushy middle, honestly believe that Obama has more military expertise than McCain. I think the Clinton's are still trying to sabotage Obama. And for once, good for them. |
