I'm looking at getting a computer, pretty vague right? I've been looking at the Microsoft Surface but I don't wanna pay an arm and a testicle for it. I need something with basic office functions. My job is in sales and I have to go a lot of places so portability and durability are a big factor. I also just want something easy to use when I'm chilling at home as well. I like Surface style of the tablet that can be a laptop as well, any suggestions?

Is there a reason your employer does not supply you with a computer?

It seems having company and/or customer data on a personally owned device would be a big no-no.

We're a very new start-up and all of our capital goes to product and marketing. No money left to supply us with that stuff. We understand it's not the greatest plan, but right now the main focus is selling product.

When you setup corporate email on your phone or computer sometimes it allows the corp to remote wipe your entire device without your permission.
