Hearing bumps or noises in the middle of the night call an HVAC specialist or plumber.
Voices on your digital recorders you can't hear with your ears? Probably from radio signals the device is picking up. Doors opening and closing check for temperature changes effecting the material type or simple gravity and momentum. Old homes have floors with slight to severe grates as well. Shadows? Check for nearby traffic. Haven't seen a single episode of "Ghost Hunters" or any other paranormal show that didn't have about a million explanations for the so called "evidence" of ghosts. |

They've gone all over the place with full access to places that if there were such things as hauntings they would be haunted. The above is the best they've got. The Ghost Hunters International is even worse. Those guys hang out in dungeons where they tortured people and they get less than even the normal Ghost Hunters. |

Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Does anyone do it? Tips? Experiences? If you want to give up all contact with the other gender for contact with the other side have at it. Nice one! Some of those girls on Ghost Hunters are cute. Plus, you can hold and comfort them when they get scared. Kids today, sheesh...

I like how the ghost hunter shows have gotten more EEXXXTREEEME. No they go out of there way to piss off the spirits of even perform "ceremonies" to invite the spirits into their own bodies. Somehow, this just doesn't seem like a good idea. Especially if you want to maintain a degree of dignity. |

I did. Kind of sucked actually because I went in hoping to prove to myself that ghosts existed and there's more to this world than meets the eye....it had the opposite effect actually. Now I'm a rabid skeptic. If you believe in ghosts, or want to believe in them, stay away from ghost hunting! |

There was an episode of Ghost Adventures on the other day that was pretty good. It's on the travel channel. They filmed a brick lift off the floor and fly across the room, as well as a 2x4' as they were running away. The host is a giant douche, but at least they normally get something on camera. |

Come to my house,i have ghost here.I've seen and heard them,so have friends. My house was built in 1800,it's seen alot of shit happen. Not sure if serious? Anyway, I used to live in a very creepy older house. I saw 1 ghost and have about 50 witnesses to various other ghostly activities, mainly strange noises, doors opening and closing predictably etc. That place was cool as hell |

Some are pretty hardcore too. |

Don't waste your time. None of the methods used by these people resemble any type of scientific process. These "EM meters" and other things have no basis in any kind of reliable testing. Ok, great - they detect electromagnetic fields. How exactly do you know that a "ghost" generates such a field? You don't - it's just some "idea" that sounds scientific in the hopes of giving it credibility. Video evidence is always suspect, especially when those involved have a financial interest in people wanting to watch. EVP's? Please...you might as well record the sounds of about 1000 dogs taking a shit, and then play it back at different speeds trying to hear words. You're bound to hear what you want to hear, the mind is like that. |
| I have, and still do on occasion time permitting. My normal "tools" are a flashlight, spare batteries, my digi cam, that also records audio for EVPs, as well as glow sticks. Glow sticks for the reason that one time, the new batteies i my flash light died and no others worked either, none electrical light is your friend. I have cought some stuff on film that I haven't been able to explain as well as one EVP. I for one am a believer. |
