| Hey this is pretty cool that we have a game section of ar15.com. I have been looking for place to discuss games. It seems like that any other board on the net is over runs by kids. Anyways I am looking for some good mods. So please give me some tips on where to find them and what ones are good. Also anyone here play the Desert Seige pack yet. Are they any new guns. I am looking for a M14. Also when you play do you use your rifle on seme auto of full auto. I prefer semi auto and go for double taps. |

Sixgun, The big mod sights are theplatoon.com and ghostrecon.net The more popular mods are GRM4 and Navy Seals. I havent looked, but one of those should have an M14. A friend and I have created a series of precision rifle oriented mods called Sniper Armory. Currently at version 1.1. There is an M25 in the current version (White Feather rifle.) Hey did any new weapons come in that Desert Seige pack. I am really hoping they put a M14 in. Please tell me is it full auto or semi auto you prefer. And for some reason I can not play online something about not being able to load active X or something. I used to be able to play online bu could not host the game now I can not even get on to UBI.com. |

I play GR with DS also. DS doiesn't have the M-14 but ti did include the FAL, which is one of my favs. Those looking to play online should get a program called "The All Seeing Eye". It will help you find games based on what you have installed on your system. Get it at http://www.udpsoft.com/eye/ My favorite style of play is coop-style mission. I play with a great group of guys at N42. We emphasize TEAMWORK and good tactics over run and gun. Most of us are over 25 and many are prior or active military. Hello. I have played GR and DS extensively (well... not so much [:D]) and I can assure you that this one is the closest thing you can get in the PC, but only after you install the Navy Seals 2 mod. I think it is hands down the most realistic mod I've ever seen. Just look at the reticules. I was so surprised to see TA01NSN's reticule represented like real. There are many weapons to choose from...let me list things that I know... Colt M4 Colt M4A1 SOPMOD (TA01NSN / RX01) KAC SR25 Mkii Mod 0 HK MSG90 HK PSG-1 (not sure about this one) Macmillan Tactical Barret M82A1 (Improved .50 cal feeling) HK G3A3 HK G36/G36K/G36C (Built-in Optics) HK MP5A4/MP5SD5 M14 M1A Scout (M68 I guess?) M25 SWS M60 Glock 17/18/21 SIG P226 HK USP Tactical HK USP SOCOM (MK23) Berreta M9 Kimber Custom Winchester 1300 Mossberg 570 (sorry I don't know that exact name of this) and...various grenade launchers. I probably have missed more weapons but that's what I used. BTW, all pistols come with night sights.[:D] I would really like to play this game with the people who train with their firearms in REAL life. I see some kids online and they seldomly conserve ammo or try to play this game like "any game". |

I highly recommend Ghost Recon and it's add-on, Desert Siege. I finished both quite a while ago and continually play the scenarios just for fun. My favorite character is Ibraham, the sniper equipped with the M82A1. Man, you can really reach out with the .50 BMG round. People I've played against have often wondered where the hell I was when I started picking off their team mates. I've learned some tricks with regards to seeing farther into the fog that Ghost Recon uses to limit your visibility. Under certain daylight conditions, using the night sight can enable you to detect the outline of a target at extreme range. |

Island Thunder is not far off now. I have enjoyed playing with the SEALs 2.0 from PICCOLO-great guy, know alot about firearms. If/when i get online i too would love to team up with fellow AR15.comers. I prefer sniping the most. To those who are currently playing online, how does communication work?
