I don't mind that there are people who haven't got the first clue about actual sword use. But why would they record that and put it on the internet so everyone knows they don't know a damn thing?

To make matters worse, he's well practiced. So that means he's really good at not knowing what the fuck he is doing.

He hasn't got the first clue. Chuck Schumer knows more about shooting.

It's a very formal martial art. Although the guy was a practiced athlete, he had poor technique. He was not taught, he learned watching old white guys in movies. Sorta the western riding rodeo clown performing English style. What do I know, trying to shed light on the point of the thread.

I remember one class in Rochester NY, mid 70's. a Master Park, fresh from Korea teaching in Korean of course. He kicked out asses but I was on my first five year stint and in mega shape and was high on the juice. After class, he allowed questions from the visiting students. Very broken English and it was a struggle for all. Master Park had just introduced a series of Taekwondo fighting forms. Fluid, not rigid. Actually composed of world class tournament fighting techniques. I was nearly a first degree and had practiced the form for my level a zillion times. We didn't have pictures or video. Our instructor received typed, broken English sheets of the form sequences after attending a recent instructor class. We had no idea what the finished product should look like.

So I had asked Master Park if he would help me with the form. He responded affirmative and had me do the form again and again. He said "you..practice very much" I proudly said "yes Sir"    He said ............"you do all wrong"

Watch him closely. Yes most everything flows and that shows he has practiced but it is the same a flipping a butterfly knife around. It looks cool for your friends but the real pros would eat your ass when you do it.

Flipping the blade around and rotating the Tsuka "handle" in one hand to make the fancy spin and then tossing the Saya "sheath" off to one side shows that he is an amateur. Hell I only have book reading and a few minutes of Iaido under my belt and I stand a great chance of ending him in a few moves, if not one move.

For those who don't know what the hell the problem is and need a gun comparison this guy ranks up there with the "Nigerian?" freedom fighters who held their AK's over their head and used life vests for body armor.

ETA: At least he admits that it is usless.

"Im really getting sick of telling people this, so let all that see and watch this video that im very much awear that what im doing in the video has nothing to do with real sword fighting. But Mr. Hellstorm do you seem ninjas or samurai jumping out of the bushs? NO you frickin idiot. Its just me spinning a sword. Im not doing kenjutsu and i have studied it for a while now as well as iaijutsu but again im not doing that in this video its just be being bored and spinning a sword.

I agree; all that fancy sword swinging only proves that he is more a showman than an actual fighter; tossing the sheath aside can only mean that he knew that he was going to lose (since he was going to lose, no need to keep the Saya to resheath his sword after the duel).

It might look cool in front of your friends, but a true warrior will cut you in two before you even realize it.

Another douce.

That sword cut trick isn't even hard. It's actually difficult to cut the person.

The sledge hammer thing is easy too. I could teach it to most folks here in 5 minutes.

I really wonder about some people out there. You would think that he would pick up a book on Iaido instead of watching to many Ninja Turtle reruns.
I cant tell by the video but he may have the return down or be starting to get it down.

Picked it up from video games I guarantee.
